Job Summary:
The Oxbow Center Certified Mental Health Worker (CMHW) provides essential support and care to individuals dealing with mental health issues. This role involves working closely with clients to help them manage their conditions and improve their overall quality of life while under the supervision of a licensed therapist. The position requires empathy, patience, and practical skills to address the unique needs of each client.
Essential Functions:
? Conduct initial assessments to determine clients' mental health conditions and needs.
? Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create and implement individualized treatment plans.
? Offer one-on-one counseling and emotional support to clients.
? Track clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
? Conduct group therapy sessions and support groups.
? Provide immediate support in crisis situations and refer clients to appropriate services.
? Inform clients and their families about mental health issues and coping strategies.
? Work with other healthcare providers, social workers, and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
? Keep accurate and confidential client records in accordance with professional standards and legal requirements.
? Complete all documentation within 24 hours.
Education and Experience:
? Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work or related field REQUIRED.
? State of Wyoming CMHW Certification REQUIRED.
? Previous experience in a mental health setting preferred.

? Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
? Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
? Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
? Ability to understand and share the feelings of the clients.
? Capability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
? High level of flexibility to adjust to the varying needs of the client and organization.
