Therapist

Essential Functions:

- Conduct assessments, diagnose mental health and substance use disorders, and develop personalized treatment plans for Oxbow Center clients.

- Lead therapy sessions with individuals, groups, or families, creating a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore their emotions, develop coping strategies, and make positive changes in their lives.

- When necessary, refer clients to other healthcare professionals or specialists for additional support or treatment.

- Collaborate with other healthcare providers, ensuring holistic and coordinated care for patients.

- Monitor and evaluate clients' progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.

- When appropriate, engage family members in the treatment process, providing guidance and support to improve overall well-being.

- Provide and coordinate case management services to meet client's treatment goals.

- Modify treatment activities and approaches as needed to comply with changes in clients' status.

- Maintain STRICT CONFIDENTIALITY in compliance with 42 CFR Part 2, CPR Part 160 and 164, in all matters relating to clients and organizational business.

- Prepare and maintain all required documentation in accordance with Oxbow Center Policy and Procedures, HIPPA laws, and healthcare compliance regulations. Documentation includes, but is not limited to, clinical assessments, evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge planning, ASAM's, DLA's, and MIS forms.

- Learn about new developments the field by completing courses, seminars, and/or trainings, attending staff and supervisory meetings, and establishing and maintaining contact with other social service agencies. Licenses and certifications must be kept current.

- Participate in Outreach, Education, and SA/MH awareness activities.

- Participate in the after-hours on-call schedule, voluntarily

- Participate in daytime walk-in clinic schedule.

- Ensure that all clinical documentation is completed within 24 hours.

- Participate in supervision as assigned and/or required.

- Participate in the Quality Assurance Process.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.

- Complete all required agency trainings.

- Additional responsibilities as delegated due to business needs.

Education and Experience:

- Must meet current State of Wyoming, Department of Health standards as a mental health or substance use disorder therapist.

- Hold a master degree in related practice.

- Licensed or Certified by the State of Wyoming to provide mental health or substance use treatment.

- Current licensure or certification as a Wyoming Mental Health Professional (LCSW, PCSW, LPC, PPC, LMFT, PMFT, etc.).

- Complete all Oxbow Center required training courses.

- Experience working in an outpatient mental health setting.

- Strong knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities.
