Maintenance and Safety Coordinator

The Maintenance and Safety Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations and ensuring the safety of all Oxbow Center locations. This role involves coordinating maintenance tasks, managing safety protocols, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate daily maintenance tasks such as repairs and inspections at all Oxbow Center facilities/campuses.
  • Oversee maintenance staff and provide necessary training.
  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures and ensure their implementation.
  • Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues.
  • Ensure the constant availability of required materials and equipment.
  • Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
  • Maintain, update/revise or implement new contracts as business needs require.
  • Ensure health and safety policies are complied with.
  • Update maintenance logs and report on daily activities.
  • Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary.
  • Maintain safe and clean working environments by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and handle safety audits/drills.
  • Present safety training sessions to employees.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, federal, and state regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with CEO to plan for both short and long-term needs for construction, replacement and refurbishment of the buildings and/or grounds.
  • Collaborate with all departments to consistently meet all health and safety requirements of CARF.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety) preferred
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA certification) are preferred.
  • 3-5 years' experience in maintenance coordination and safety management.

Qualifications:

  • Must be responsive.
  • Able to travel to multiple facilities and have valid Driver's License.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC unit maintenance and repairs.
  • Working knowledge of building codes, fire regulations, and emergency plant operations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to train and educate others on safety protocols.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Working familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite programs
